FLASH BACK ...

We were reflecting this evening, as the sun set one more amazing time over Fisherman Bay,  of the past few months of our adventures.  We especially enjoyed our trip to Arizona, (early June) which included my dad's 90th birthday party of 50 at the country club!  And our river-tubing float with my Hawaii-born nephew "Owen" and then our hike the next day  (in 102 degree heat) on Peralta Trail looking for the gold stashed at the base of the needle.

Yeah, let's GO!

Owen's "tan."
Awwwright!

Paul and Jan rarin' to GO!

Then, it was Grandpa's BIG DAY!

Gpa's 90th birthday breakfast...  Ihop was perfect

...Gpa's 90th birthday dinner (day before the BIG party) at Sakai Sushi,  yum,  sitting next to my niece Kelli.

The next morning, we hiked up the ridge to 3800ft ...water please.!  We stopped every five minutes for water,  so different than home, so dry but amazing beauty

Peralta Trail, not far from my dad's place.
7:30am and already in the 90's.

Are we there yet?

"Weaver's Needle," our goal...  Now where is the gold?  The legends say that the gold is buried in the shadow of the needle.  "But wait!," says Paul.  "The shadow moves all the way around the spire every day... uggg,  its a scam!"
This rock formation was huge and it was 102 degrees when we reached this view.

"Cupcake Rock."
Our name for it.

The mighty Mountain Man.

That evening we went to Grandpa's birthday dinner party!

Gpa and Jan getting goofy!

The birthday boy, making the rounds and thanking everyone for coming to help him celebrate.

Jan and sister, Susan.

Jan and Paul,
enjoying the party.

Thanks Dad, Sue & Bob, Owen, Kelli & Jon for making this a memorable party and another adventure for us!

We Love You!
