Dinner (Again!) at Hale Keffler

For our Washington friends, "hale" (pronounced "hah-leh") is Hawaiian for house/home.

Having dinner at the Keffler's is definitely at the top of our list of great meals.  We were invited to dine on the fresh 15-lb. King Salmon that Mr. Keffler (Senior) had caught that very same day.

Cindy Keffer's awesome salad, garlic loaf, roasted red peppers, corn, sweet potatoes, roast and Mr. Gary Keffler's king salmon...all to perfection!

Don't talk to me, I want to eat!
See the beautiful sunset in the background?

Well, if you missed it, here it is.

Later, we all sat around the fire pit.
Paul, with Tyler, Keffler's son-in-law stoking the flames to keep my toes warm.

Jan and Cindy Keffler NOT singing around the campfire but having a great time anyways!

OMG, there ARE Hobbits on Lopez Island!

We had dark chocolate s'mores for dessert, and Paul came up with a creative way to make multiple servings!
Hope this wasn't used to rake, uh, turd.

An awesome fire, perfect with the chill in the air.

THANK YOU TO ALL THE KEFFLER'S for welcoming us into their beautiful home, and for all the awesome dinners of fresh-caught salmon!

You guys ROCK!
