Sidney and Our Special 2nd Anniversary Dinner!

After our extensive walk around Victoria, we hopped back on the double-decker public transportation back to Sidney.  When we got there, live music was happening and lots of people were out enjoying the beautiful weather.

Unfortunately, being Sunday the only shops that were open were mainly the coffee places and restaurants.  The awesome marine/boating parts and accessories store that we walked past the day before was closed, a bummer as this was our main interest.

We saw some unusual art:  this is "Diver Dan" (not his real name, it was changed to protect his true identity) who was carved out of an 80-foot cedar tree.

After walking around for a bit and lazing about on the lawns, our ferry to Friday Harbor arrived.  We had a wonderful dinner at "The Place" to celebrate our 2nd year anniversary!

The food was awesome, the atmosphere, scenery and sunset between the hundreds of sailboat masts was amazing and it was a very happy time for us as we reflected back on the past two years.

Tomorrow, I will be working on the "woolly mammoth farm!"
