I will be working at Isla Glass studio on Fisherman Bay Road (about .25 miles from Jerry's house), working the Saturday morning Lopez Village Farmer's Market, Friday afternoons and also any visiting artist's wine and cheese functions. Spent a couple of hours there today, got so involved in watching the process that I forgot to take photos but I promise to take more on Friday!
But prior to that, Paul and Jerry brought home some wonderful yellow raspberries!
One tray down, three more to go!
Later, I went to purchase a one-day crabbing license. I decided it was best to be "legal" about it and we rowed out to check the traps. It was not our day to crab (despite the traps being down in the water for 5 days) as we only caught a female and a small male. The females always have to be released and the male was too small.
My one-day license.
$18.00!!!
$18.00!!!
Boy crab. Too small.
Girl crab, tossed back to make more crab!
The two crabs had eaten the entire can of cat food! And we learned that its better to just poke holes in the can instead of opening the top halfway, and...
...we learned that we do better at crabbing when we poach! (just KIDDING, Fisheries Department!)

When we returned empty-handed, Jerry was busy cutting bluestone for the walkway at Lavenderland:
Busy as a bee!
Then we drove down to Odlin County Park to gaze at the sun setting, but only after we almost hit a deer!
No individuals or deer were hurt, but after I screamed it was a good thing Paul was wearing brown shorts!
Tomorrow...San Juan Country Fair at Friday Harbor on San Juan Island! Walk-on ferry ride! FREE!
