TRIMMING AND CREW HEADING SOUTH!

Paul and the boys headed out of Newport Harbor today at 12:52pm according to SPOT and the goal is Brookings, OR which is about 204 miles on the OR-CA border.  Will take a good part of 2 days, winds/weather permitting.

But first, a bit of new safety equipment!

New Life Ring and Coast Guard approved line!

According to Paul, getting out of the harbor was exciting, blue water coming over the bow!  Hoping to obtain some video shot by Mahan on his "duct-tape beanie-mounted" GoPro!

Mahan at the helm, camera securely taped to his head...

The weather looked good, the sun was warm on their faces...

Nick and Mahan...HEY, who's steering the boat???
Psych, its the CPT Auto Pilot doing its job.

Blue skies, white clouds and full sails.

ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz...
Good thing the SPOT Locator Beacon is within reach!

The day wore on, and was just beautiful!

Donny's lure on the fishing pole and looks like laundry day!

The sun setting.

Moon rise.

Progress shown on the SPOT Tracking Page is from 12:52pm through 6:34pm.
Making great progress!

Stay tuned!
