After a morning COLD surf session with his new crew of two, Paul and Trimming departed Westport at around 1030am. He text'd me and said there were 5 ft. rollers coming out of the Grays Harbor bar, but they were finally out in the Pacific heading towards Newport, Oregon a total of 135.458 nm.
He estimates they will reach there by 11am-noon Sunday, which is good due to another big and nastier storm coming in that afternoon and the next day. Barry and Coni, our Canadian friends, left Westport yesterday at noon and should be close to Newport by now. I sent them an email this afternoon but as of this writing, have not heard from them but I hope to by tomorrow.
Here's a recap of Trimming's progress today:
If you click on the photo to enlarge it, Trimming's start is orange box number 98, even though the date is incorrect. 98 is right across from Gray's Harbor where Westport Marina is.
Will update their progress and any news tomorrow!
